Sergio de Castro was born in Argentina, in an aristocratic family of Spanish origins. He discovered poetry by learning to speak and write in Spanish. He was specially touched by the works of César Vallejo. Began his artistic education with Manuel de Falla (1876-1946), studying music and composition. He is also influenced by Joaquin Torres-Garcia (1874-1949), founder of the movement “circles and squares”. His paintings looks still life and landscape, inspiring by external reality, move into abstraction.
