The bibliothèque does not need fixing to be installed, its own weight is distributed along six adjustable points and holds perfectly against any wall
Realised at Zurich School of Applied Arts by Willy Guhl's design class in 1949-1950. Remained in Mr. Bircher's office until his passing in 2008.
The Editor AWESO based on this prototype the "Etagère Classic" model, still in production nowadays, since 1954.
"Piece unique", sold with a certificate of authenticity from Rudolf Bircher's heir.
Museum item, complete, original condition and patina for a Swiss "Prouvé-type" work.
