Comments: The son of the painter Carl Wenderoth. In 1845 he went to Paris and also visited Algeria. In partnership in San Francisco with the lithographer and painter Charles C. Nahl (see entry), also from Kassel. Wenderoth married Laura Nahl in 1856 and soon returned East. With Jesse Bolles (see entry) in Charleston (SC) Cf. August Wenderoth. He was active at least until 1863, since he painted a picture of the Battle of Gettysburg. His works are rare.
